Two new releases in Plastic
Passion catalogue! ·
The first release in 2008
will be Hundred Million Martians’ fourth album which is scheduled for January. All the tracks are already recorded
at Red House studio and mixing is also almost finished. Speacial guest star
on the album is Michael Monroe from Hanoi Rocks. Please check HMM’s studio diary for the detailed

Two new releases out on 2nd of
April. ·
500 kg lihaa’s fifth album (second on Plastic Passion) Nuori mies
will be released on 18th of April. Psychedelic rock compositions and early
20th century
poetry (Uuno Kailas, Aaro Hellaakoski, Juhani Siljo, Einari vuorela, Kullervo
Rainio) performed by the band led by Maritta Kuula and Kauko Röyhkä. Saturday 02122006 ·
It’s almost christmas and time to
tell that latest release in Plastic Passion catalogue is Cheerleaders
United’s album Motorcade City which is in powerplay in YleX programme
Kitarama. ·
Next year Plastic Passion will
release new albums by 500 kg lihaa and Moto and there are also some rumours
that a legendary Finnish gothic album (+ some extras) will be released first

Kings ep! The U.F.O. Kings is a side project of two AD members and a bunch of
other unconventional musicians (Vilunki 3000 from And The Lefthanded &
Uusi Fantasia and David Lillqvist) who together invented the Japanese hard
core hippiestyle electro psychedelia. Three of the five tracks can be heard

AD
have finished their new album Bodysuit and the electro industrial explosion
(human voice meets noise) will be released in September as a co-release of
Plastic Passion and Kenolamusic. ·
Cheerleaders United are
finishing their next album Mortorcade City and it will be released in
September. The promotional single (Let Me Fall in Love with You) in Overdrive
is out now and there can be found familiar melodramatic pop elements as well
as some post punk influences. ·
500 kg lihaa are
also finishing new album but it will be released only early next year because
in the autumn Spinefarm will release Kauko Röyhkä’s new compilation album
(including one new track) and there are also rumours that Maritta Kuula will
also have new material released during the autumn. ·
Plastic Passion
will also release a debut album of Turku based pop band Kehä 4. Members of
Kehä 4 have previously played in Metropojat (two legendary single on Johanna
label) and Yo-Yo (two legendary single on Poko Rekords label). ·
Muovi 111 is active
once again. Soon there will be out an EP by The U.F.O. Kings. Odd electronic music
played by members of AD and Vilunki 3000 (And the Lefthanded, Op:l Bastards
etc.). ·

Moto is a Turku based
rock-soul-crossover band led by vocalist/guitarist Kalle Taivainen (ex-Xysma,
ex- Spectre Quartet). Other members are also known from various Turku based
bands (Spectre Quartet, Limonadi Elohopea, Flatmates, Lazybones). Wednesday 21092005 ·
Wojciech’s
second (or the third if the mini album Tähtiöitä is classified as an album) album
Ampiainen ompeli has been released. Ampiainen ompeli is a sci-fi trip to the
weird world of Wojciech. Big sounds, lo-fi pop and a bit progressive

The latest releases in
Plastic Passion catalogue are Resurrection Street single by Cheerleaders
United and Rakastaja album by Olga. Coming next we have Ampiainen ompeli
album by Wojciech and not yet titled album by Moto. ·
Cheerleaders United recorded
three tracks in Red House Studio, Turku and two of them have been released as
a single. Band is still melodramatic and pop but there are also new elements
in their sound. Someone said that there can be heard The Who in the a1 track
Resurrection Street and maybe he’s right. The track a2 Loving the Sinner,
Hating the Sin is a cover version of The Dream Syndicate song. ·
Olga’s
debut album Rakastaja is a co-release with Ameba Records. Olga is a female
singer/songwriter and she has been compered to Patti Smith and P J Harvey.
Rakastaja album is produced by Kauko Röyhkä. ·
Wojciech’s
Ampiainen ompeli is a sci-fi trip to the world of Wojciech. Ampiainen ompeli
will be released on Wednesday 21st of September. ·

The latest release in
Plastic Passion catalogue is Wojciech’s 7”single Haukotellaan (ollaan tylsää
seuraa)/Kryounihanget. A-side is from the forthcoming album Ampiainen ompeli
(out in September 2005) but the B side track is available only on this vinyl.
The record release gig was played in Dynamo, Turku and the next gig will be
on July 1st in Ämyrock-klubi in Hämeenlinna. ·
The latest release in Muovi 111 is
Compassion EP by Magenta Skycode. If the name Magenta Skycode sounds familiar
you maybe remember the band called This Empty Flow and their debut album
Magenta Skycode (1996). Magenta Skycode is a project of This Empty Flow
frontman Jori Sjöroos (also known as Fu-Tourist) and the debut EP could be
descriped as ‘electric post punk’ or something like that. If you like The Cure,
Joy Division, Interpol or Colder please check out Magenta Skycode. ·
AD have launched their website. There is a competion (or
actually a writing contest) which have a special prizes for the five winners:
AD’s debut vinyl album (1984). Please visit AD’s website and if you want to
get inspiration for the contest please visit our webstore and get your own copy of AD’s
Tocapo CD (there are also available Wojciech’s and Magenta Skycode’s new
records as well as many other Plastic Passion releases). ·
Plastic Passion started a
co-operation with a webshop called Levyvirasto
/ Record Office. It is webshop for
the Finnish independent record labels / bands and there’s a possibility to
listen to samples from the records available and they accept creit cards.

The latest release in
Plastic Passion catalogue is AD’s fourth album called Tocapo. The record
release gig was played in April and the next gig will be played in club Päiväkoti in Turku on Sunday 15th
of May. Tocapo was reviewed and AD was interviewed in Sue magazine which came out yesterday. ·
Wojciech finished last weekend the
tracks for the 7” vinyl single Haukotellaan (ollaan tylsää
seuraa)/Kryounihanget. Master was sent today to the pressing plant in Czech
Republic and 7” will be out in June. The album will be released in autumn. ·
In April was released also
promotional singles by Hundred
Million Martians (My Name Is April) and Cheerleaders United (Small Time
Maniacs). ·
Sublabel Muovi 111 will be back
soon! In May there will be out the EP release by Magenta Skycode. More

Plastic Passion is ten and
it’s true. The first tape was released in February 1995 and ten years later
Plastic Passion celebrated the 10th anniversary and released the
anniversary album Ten Plastic Years. Album includes previously unreleased
material (500 kg lihaa, Wojciech, AD, Hundred Million Martians, NYX),
hard-to-find tracks (Sad Parade, Suruaika, Funtourist, Nilly.), hard-to-find
versions (Cheerleaders United, Fu-Tourist) and other cool stuff (This Empty
Flow, In My Rosary, Velvet Nails, Ben’s Diapers and Sorb-I-tol). 20 tracks
and 77 minutes. ·
AD is back! The legendary
Turku based odd rock band AD who released three albums in 80’s has reunited
and their fourth album Tocapo! will be out on 20th of April by
Plastic Passion. The new stuff is descriped as something between Captain
Beefheart and Ministry. The record release gig is on Wednesday 20th
of April in Klubi, Turku. The line-up
(three vocalists, electronics, baritone guitar & drums) will be
strengthen by string quartet. ·
Wojciech is in studio and
they are finishing an album to be released in summer. Before the album there
will be out 7” vinyl single Haukotellaan (ollaan tylsää
seuraa)/Kryounihanget. ·
In April will be released also promotional

Two new bands in Plastic
Passion catalogue! The legendary Turku based odd rock band AD who released
three albums in 80’s has reunited and their fourth album will be out in April
by Plastic Passion. The new stuff is descriped as something between Captain

Rumba 1/2005 came out two
days ago and it was nice to notice that Wojciech was mentioned in three
categories in Reader’s Poll (the album, the band, the new band). ·
In the end of February Plastic
Passion will be ten years old and we will release a compilation album Ten
Plastic Years which will include previously unreleased tracks and tracks
taken from Plastic Passion relases (including some sold out classics). More

The latest commercial
release in Plastic Passion catalogue is 500 kg lihaa’s album Sielu. Yes. 500 kg lihaa. The legendary band led by Kauko Röyhkä and Maritta Kuula. Psychedelic
60’s rock with lyrics taken from the classical Finnish poetry. Sielu album is
recorded live in legendary TVO club (Turku, Finland) and additional
recordings are made in Vintage Sound studios. The album includes 4 totally
new tracks and 6 new versions of tracks previously released on 500 kg lihaa’s
older albums. This is the first time that 500 kg lihaa’s music is available
on a CD format. ·
The latest release in
Plastic Passion catalogue is a promotional single Ocean Rain / Running Out of
the Angels (acoustic) by Cheerleaders United. Track a1 as well as an electric
version of a2 are available on Cheerleaders United’s debut album Heartbreak
Satellites which will released in October. Running Out of the Angels is a
duet with Suffeli from Thee Ultra Bimboos and slide guitar is played by T.
Nikki from Peer Günt. ·
Plastic Passion has started a
co-operation with the distribution company Supersounds. It means that Plastic
Passion releases should be available in every good record store in Finland.
If your local record store doesn’t sell Plastic Passion records please ask
them contact Supersounds. ·
Plastic Passion has started
co-operation also with a local (Turku based) rock club Klubi. The first
Plastic Passion special night will be on 27th of October and live
bands are Cheerleaders United, Hundred Million Martians and Ben’s Diapers.
Vinyls are played by DJs Plastic and Passion. ·
Wojciech are finnishing their second
release on Plastic Passion label. The relase will be 8 track mini album

Yeah! Delays delays but
finally details and news! The latest release from Plastic Passion is Hundred
Million Martians’ album Solid Rock Planet. ·
The first edition of Wojciech’s album Ystävät, toverit was
sold out some weeks ago but the second edition (jewel box version) is
available. Wojciech’s next gig is in Ruisrock
festival and meanwhile you can read reviews in Image and Nyt (4 out of 5!!!!)and an interview in Sue. ·
Cheerleaders United have been
visiting the Red House Studio in Turku quite often and it seems that their
debut album is almost finished. The relaese date will be in September and
some day we will know the title of the album. Raw mixes sound brilliant and
the album will be full of melodramatic pop! ·
Velvet Nails’ album Hourula was
reviewed (4/5) in a local (local for the band) newspaper Keskisuomalainen but
there was nothing new because we all knew already that Hourula is a great
album full of brilliant synth pop. ·
Kauko
Röyhkä and Maritta Kuula! Yes! They are new artist in Platic
Passion label. Everyone in Finland already know them both and we think that
you are also familiar with their band 500 kg lihaa. The fourth 500 kg lihaa
album will be out in September and it will be released by Plastic Passion.

Suruaika’s second album Nekropoli will
be released later this month but it will not be a Plastic Passion relase as
it was previously informed. The album will be available from Plastic Passion. ·

Wojciech’s album Ystävät,
toverit was released on last Friday and the sales have started better than we
ever expected. The first 300 copies are packed into the cardboard sleeve so
if you want the special version be quick or be the one who didn’t get the
cardboard version. The album is available directly from Plastic Passion and
in the following stores: Anttila (Turku), Kane (Turku), Stupido (Helsinki),
Platta (Tampere) and Airon Musiikki (Jyväskylä). ·
Jyväskylä based synth pop
duo Velvet Nails will release their second release on Plastic Passion on
Monaday, 19th of April. Album is called Hourula and it’s a
soundtrack for a theatre play of the same name. The album (8 tracks) is
totally sung in Finnish. More information about the theatre play can be found

We were told that Hundred
Million Martians’ single Stompalong Cassidy will arrive in Turku on Monday 29th
of March so the single will be available next week. Wojciech’s album Ystävät,
toverit will be out on the 16th of April and the release party of
the both new releases will be held in Turku (Flavor of the Month Club,
Pikku-Torre) on the 8th of April. Wojciech’s gig on the evening
will be the first ever. ·
Jyväskylä based synth pop
duo Velvet Nails will release their second release on Plastic Passion in
April. Album is called Hourula and it’s a soundtrack for a theatre play of
the same name. The album (8 tracks) is totally sung in Finnish. More

News from the
headquarters! The latest release is the CDr single (published by Muovi 111)
by the melodramatic pop band Cheerleaders United. The title track Falling
Asleep (with CNN) is a beautiful and slow masterpiece with a melodramatic
feeling. B-sides are a cover version of The Smithereens’ Behind the Wall of
Sleep and an acoustic version of the title track. Cheerleaders United started
to record their debut album a week ago and it will be released in September

new signings! ·
Releases from This Empty
Flow and Sad Parade have been postponed but both bands can be heard on the
compilation CD 111 the Number of the Muovi. The most clever ones can guess
the album will introduce tracks from Muovi 111 releases. The release date is

Finally. The re-released
version of the tape compilation Plastic Sampler Vol. 1 (originally released
in May 1996; PVC 002) is available as a CD. Original tape compilation
presented eleven Finnish bands (Two Witches, This Empty Flow, Sad Parade,
NYX, [active] Media Disease, Neverwood...) and three German bands (Sepulcrum
Mentis, Exedra & Timothy Moldray). The remastered version includes two
